opening night jitters
there has been a few worrying times, and a few sleepless nights, but the opening night of my first ever photographic exhibition went off with only one slight hiccup (but more of that later).
i guess that before i get into the details of the night i need to send out a massive thank you!
a thank you to everyone that come to the opening night. there literally would not have been a night if you all weren't there.
next, a thank you to everyone who got in contact with me on the night to send their good wishes. hopefully we will be able to catch up over the weekend and i will can take you through the exhibition.
and finally, a thank you to everyone who has sent me good wishes from all over the world. i wish i could have had you all there with me on the opening night, but time/space/costs didn't allow for it.
the night itself was wicked. loads of people coming into the gallery as either invited guests of all the artists or just wondering down brick lane and see all the amazing work on display. i also managed to sell a few of the photos - and thank you so much guys.
as i mentioned there was one slight hiccup. now, i thought of this exhibition as the next big step into what could be a profession in photography. i believed that i have been gathering more and more knowledge, growing more and more, becoming more and more professional..... so why the hell did i forget to charge the battery in my camera. rookie error.
so while kicking myself more then a little, all was not lost. i still did have the trusty camera phone which took some rather acceptable images. i am also going to get some images from one of the lasses who curated the exhibition. i am also heading down on the weekend to take some proper photos.
but until then, enjoy an image from what was a cracking evening. and thank you all so much for your support.
x
