swedish meatballs
i have heard it all before so please don't start. its not all getting 'rather serious' as some have mentioned. no one can hear 'wedding bells' a ringing. most other couples do it also. yes i know that there was a plane trip involved in this 'meeting'. but it is not that big a deal.... or is it.
after more then a year i have finally taking the step and headed over to sweden to meet sourina's family. and even though i know some of them will be reading this, let me just say that i had an amazing time not just meeting her family but in stockholm in general. it is such a beautiful city and despite the bad weather we managed to see quite a bit.
the picture of the church below is my first attempt at a High Dynamic Range image. click on it for more details about this process.
the sun did come out long enough for us to have a wonder through the old town which is really quite beautiful. still amazed by the amount of history that european cities have.

the second day of my trip i did face the ominous prospect of having all of sourina's family in the one location for her cousin's - kevin - birthday. fantastic i thought. up to 15 persian/swedes in the one room along with one kid from oz who could not speak a lick of persian or a lick of swedish - a fish out of water.
but in all honesty it was a brilliant day. i am totally hooked on persian food now and sourina's cousins were the cutest kids i think i have ever seen.
