here comes the bride

ahoy there everyone....

well we are currently on koh tao - an island in the south of thailand. waiting for a delayed boat that will connect to a bus back to bangkok. koh tao is just amazing..... but more about that later

as i you know we came to thailand for tys and tash's wedding.... and what a magic wedding it was. weather was a little suspect the days before - some cloundy and some just blistering hot.... but on the afternoon of the big day it was p-e-r-f-e-c-t.

we were all right on the beach and the bride and groom looked beautiful..... the service was a little less formal than usual - but no less special.... maybe even more special then a normal church wedding service - due to intamacy of small number of guests and of course the tropical setting.

had a wicked seafood dinner afterwards and just basically drank the night away...

wanted to thank you both tys ad tash for inviting sourina and i - we both had such a good time.... so many memories and cannot wait to catch up with you both in london - fingers crossed the pics turn out a right treat...

so.... i would like to present - mr and mrs nutt

ciao for now

btw - j-lo hope you had a wicked birthday old son - plenty of lady boy action. sorry for no contact - been in huts for the last few days.... beers at mine on our return and more talk about the calander x

london

hi all,
well i think that the news of the past 24 hours in london will have filter to all parts of the globe....

first up - i am safe and sound - if not a little rattled and worried. have not spoken with all the kids over here - but have received various emails and am hoping and praying that no one was directly affected by this mornings blasts.

been an unbelievable 24 hours here

this time yesterday the city was drinking champagne and celebrating the olympic bid result - a great day for ol london town...

and now.... people wondering the scale of this disaster. i think that the news reports are being rather reserved - and that unfortunately this will get worse before it gets better...

hope that anyone in london that i havent been in contact with is safe and sound
and hope that everyone else will be worrying a little less

godspeed

only now can i talk about what we saw

well a big summer aloha to all,
been a rather eventful few weeks over here in london town - with flash floods - rock and roll - sunshine all comeing together to create some rather memorable experiences....

but before i get to that....

some sad news .... we have had another family member leave london town - and this one was by far the hardest.
our favourite baby giraffe - lauren - has headed back to oz after her tour of duty has come to an end. there now seems a rather big hole in family as you are being missed dearly lauren....

not sure where to start with the farewell to you darlin.... maybe right back at the beginning of this whole adventure..... I AM NOT COMING were your most famous words.... closely followed by I AM GOING HOME - if only you knew how to get to the airport ;)
and then the palace days - who will ever forget 'freak me baby' to simon and john.... i can still remember jimmy and i falling on the floor laughing - jb and piemon looking in disbelief.... and you working through the routine.
then there was the europe adventure - grappa with despina and husband in croatia is a definate highlight. buying board shorts in munich....????

so so many more memories that i am not going to list - all the crazy nights out - and crazy london memories -and of course meeting rock and rolls stars (we love mumma green)

had loads of good times - and some bad ones to.... but dont think that i could have had anywhere near as good an adventure as i have had if it wasnt for you.....
hurry back toots - we all miss you
besos grandes para mi jirafa de bebé

and as you have all probably heard - glastonbury was hit by one hellova storm - i have only seen two storms in the 2 years i have been over here - shame that i was camping in the second one. sourina and my tent only sustained minimal amounts of water damage - same cannot be said for some of the other poor souls who woke on friday morning to to rising flood waters and eventually having their tents washed away....

but the glastonbury spirit kicked on - with rumours of the whole festival being called off - the main stages were repaired after being struck by lightening - while the rest of us tried to find some gold dust...... WELLIES. after a 4 hour search we managed to secure some.... the sun came out.... the beer began to flow.... and the good times rolled.

we were treated to some amazing performances.... so of the gigs will not ever be forgotten..... here is a roll call of all that we saw at glasto 05 - the year god tried to drown the hippies

___ friday
tom vek - nine black alps - the others - babyshambles - be your own PET - bloc party - MIA - the killers - fat boy slim - the white stripes

___ saturday
the stands - kaiser chiefs - the future heads - timo mass - the subways - interpol - kasabian - razorlight - erol alkan

___ sunday
client - van morrison - the rakes - brian wilson - mylo - 2manyDJs - kill them all and let god decide - jon carter

stand out gigs would have to be brian wilson (lead singer of beach boys) and kaiser chiefs (will be headlining next year)
brian wilson was tops. all the beach boys classics, sun shinining, 80 000 people enjoying one of the strangest beach parties ever.... shes giving good vibrations!
ad the kaisers were amazing. set even included a 12 foot blow up green dinasaur - dont see that everyday.... whoooooa..... whooooooooooooa.... whaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! i predict a riot.... ive got torets.

so it has been a week spent in the recovery position - and only now are we able to openly speak about the glasto experience. there were laughs - tears - lightening and rain - but its all rock and roll and i like it like it yes i do.

also some official news - my girlfriend is more rock and roll then i am. after appearing in this weeks issue of NME along with Cal there is no doubt that i am not worthy. to fill you in - NME is a weekly mag on all things rock and roll - very directional publication and one day i would hope to confirm my rock status by appearing in it.... this now appears unlikely after my girlfriend stole the show.... give me some rock hair ladies!!!!

the magical mystery tour continues next week when sourina and i are off to thailand for friends from uni (tys and tash) wedding. cannot wait to get back to the beach and sun and share this special time with tys and tash.... more details to follow.

that is about all from me now.....
remeber - if you are not on the stage you are not serious

much luff
