..... as you can tell the spanish lessons are coming along nicely. think that i will be able to hold my own in spain - as long as i am not stretched any further then introducing myself. will keep you posted.
well how are you all. been quite some time since my last transmission so a few things to cover.
the birthday celebration continued for the next few days since my last email. lawn bowls was a hoot. all the old fellas loved our guts out. some suprise packets on the green - namely JbQ. shakey to start with - but the you kid found his mark and ruled the green. so loverly chilled afternoon on the green.
back to the flat for the evening event - and what an event it was. a big thanks to JB/disco/piemon for playing the records. piemon - i told you to get back on the decks! and a special shout out to laurenkate for her amazing electro/tribal/disco infused mash up - lauren: i know some people who are interested in a girl with your talents? i will speak to you later about it.... ;) the flat basically turned into a night club. at one stage we had some random people from down the road in - with more knocking on the door. dont know how the neighbours below didnt complain at the 6 o'clock finish.
flat is going well with all the kids moving out and finding their own places. makes me so happy to see how much they have all grown up and matured. is other flat related news - WE GOT A VACCUM CLEANER. now this is a major event for me and bryce. we have been in the flat for about 6 months - and never had a vaccum cleaner. the carpet was cleaned sometimes - so dont roll your eyes - bryce used to get the broom out and sweep his little heart out. but now it is all changed. now bryce can vaccum his littel heart out - char buzzy. so the flat is looking amazing - well more amazing then it did. thanks again for the vac kids.
went and saw the mighty mighty chelsea smash porto in the champions league. was wicked to get to stamford bridge and see sir frank and the lads get up. ryce - was way better then that game we went to at hibury - carn the blues.
been trying to rock out as much as possible - event getting to two gigs on the one night - i know - rocksta. first up was babyshambles who are led by mr pete 'i-was-in-the-libertines-but-got-too-smashed-on-drugs-and-now-i-have-mage-my-own-band' doherty. not sure if many or you are aware of ol petes antics. basically he was booted from the best rock band in the world - the libertines. started his new band and has a habit of not showing up to gigs. we he was in on the night we saw him and in wicked form. one of the best performers that i have ever seen. amazing. headed from there over to turnmills to cactch the second half of a yound art-rock-electro band called chikinki. saw these guys at glastonbury so was egar to see them again. gig was wicked. about 50 people in a small room. band right up close. good times.
some of you may already know - but i am back in oz at the end of november for a short trip for me lil bros birthday. will be getting back on the 20th of november for about 2.5 weeks. will be wicked to see the vern clan and the rest of you goons.
