the pope vs thierry henry
HI All,
Been a little while since I have writen, but i will try and let you know what has been going on.
Currently back at work at Watson Wyatt, and been pretty busy. Saving up for next leg of trip - which will be to South America, and i cannot wait for that.
I have put more pics up, but i have had to make another site for the Europe pics - as the otherone is full.

Well last time that I wrote, we were set to have a cuppa with the pope. and well, we didnt quite get to meet him in person, but we did manage to get into his address for the celebration of his 25th year as pontif. Now this is really hard to put into words the feeling of being there. was one of the most amazing things that i have ever done. lauren and i just spent the whole time looking at each other with amazment - sometimes uttering 'we are really seeing the pope'.
the passion of the people that were there was just as spectacular. not sure of the number of people, but there were hundreds of thousands all gathered to celebrate. we got in at about 4 in the afternoon, and the service began at 5:30. so the atmoshpere was really intense. once the pope came out EVERYONE got up and cheered and clapped and shouted out prases to him. was amazing looking at people around us who had waited there whole lives to see this great man, and now their dreams were finally being fulfilled. such a truely special event and we were lucky enough to see it.
we went to the vatican city gallery before that - where the Sistine Chapel is. unbeleivable is about the only word that i can use to describe the gallery.
another wicked experience that i had - of a slightly different nature to the pope's service - was when myself, ryce mckay, nick parkin and jimmy all went to see arsenal play in their champions leauge match against dynamo kiev. was the first football match that i have been too. so wicekd being at the game seeing stars like thierry henry and the like playing. pretty amazing in itself...
will try and keep this short, after that last monster that i busted out.
