stayin alive stayin alive...
well a big aloha to all and sorry for the lack of email dribble.
think that we are finally settling into our new place, im working and things seem to be going well. need a bit mroe money if anyone is interested, but other then that things are pretty good...
let me take you back thru the weeks that have been...
loz and i were staying in a 'hostel' for a week before we moved into our new place in fulham (i know that i have told you that it is in hammersmith, but we have been told that it is more fulham then hammersmith). so we were staying in this hostel that we aptly named 'the methadone clinic' casue the place was a full on crack house. some of the highlights include:
1) i walked out the front door one day to be greeted by a scene out of some cop movie or sumfin. the road that the hostel is in was full of police vans, the street was actually roped of with some 'police line - do not cross' tape, and there were all these cops getting around in full on riot gear. soccer hooligans on a rampage i hear you ask - nope. just some nut case geeza that was chucking bottles at his wife - so the cops needed to be called to sort it all out. i have a pic of the whole fiasco and i will email it shortly.
2) the hostel has a tv room, and this is where most of the action/bouts take place. on one occasion, two guys started fighting and one knob pulled out a knife and tried to stab the other knob...
3) another fight the and this time a guy got the crap beaten out of him, but most of the abuse was aimed at one eye. he then fell on the ground where he was continued to be beaten in the same eye - and even got his eye stomped on. he was taken to hospital and he is probably going to loose his eye.....
i think that you are starting to get the idea of what the place was like and why we were so glad to get the hell outta there....
so, now on the other end of the spectrum - our NEW PLACE.
the place is wicked. so nice inside and the area is unreal also. i will send some pics soon, but i dont think that they will do it justice. we have a nice lounge/eating area, the kitchen is nice and new - as is the bathroom. mine and loz's room is really cool - and we even have a balcony (well it is the roof of the ppls place below - but we can get to it thru our window)... and jimmy and bbs room is at the back.
we are all so happy with it and are finalising the rent/bond this week. me and loz are paying 65 quid each a week which is super cheap for how nice the place is and the area that we are in...
um, what else... havent been going out much at all - due to lack of money (please see previous plea for money above) and i have been working most w.ends at the pub.
not much it work around and i dont think that i will be able to last long at the clothes shop - it is pretty boring. might have some temp office work lined up, so i will see how that goes...
um, that is about all that i have at the moment. everyone is really well and getting settled. loz is starting a new job on monday at a better clothing shop in carnaby st. she will be working for miss sixty, and they have a couple of shops around the place so she is super pumped about that...
the floor for our new place has been tested by my mate bo and his girl from the us and by alicia terry-whittle and all have said that it is my far the comfiest floor they have slept on....
well im off. the sun is shinning, dont have to work till later tonite and beers by the river is all too tempting...
so adios muchachos and muchachas
stay well
as always mic
